Some ideas that are already being considered include selling bread to restaurants, baking classes and writing a recipe book. Any other ideas? ( can’t be marketing techniques)

Maybe start a little market stall selling freshly baked bread?
(I don’t know what you consider marketing techniques though…)

I’m preparing to bake some frozen tater tots in the oven and it says, "Bake 15-20 minutes(turning after 10 minutes) Does that mean to turn to turn the tater tots or the pan around in the middle of baking? Thanks.

Flip the tater tot over so both sides get crispy and neither gets burned.

My hubs likes to make bread in his bread machine. I thought it would be nice to have cranberry bread on Thanksgiving. I wondered if anyone had a good recipe?

Thanks!

You can find some here:

I make my own bread when I have the time using a Kenwood Chef and doing it all by hand but our local Aldi is selling a breadmaker for £29.99 which is just soooo cheap. I know people say you get what you pay for but it comes with a 3 year warranty so that can’t be bad. Has anyone got a really cheap breadmaker and is happy with it.

Mine cost a bit more than that and says Morphy Richards – but they all come out of the same factory in China. The stuff breadmakers create is slightly different to what you can make by hand – and it’s sideways on with a hole where you pulled the paddle out. But they do a useful job. I use mine to make panetone which I’ve never been able to do successfully by hand.

I’ve found a couple recipes I would like to try but they call for a bread machine, which I do not have. Can I mix the ingredients by hand or do I need to look for more recipes?

Basically, the bread machine takes the physical work and the many steps out of baking bread and bread products. All you do is throw everything into the machine and it mixes, kneads, raises, times, and will even actually bake the bread for you if you want. Bread machine recipes can all be made the old fashioned way. It requires you to dissolve the yeast in warm liquid (not hot) with a little sugar, or honey, molasses, something sweet to feed the yeast while it multiplies. Mix together all the wet ingredients including any eggs called for. Now add the sifted flour, salt, whatever else that’s dry to your liquid. Be careful not to add it all at once because if it gets too dried out you are out of luck and have to start over. Bread making by hand is an art and you need to learn to judge when the dough is just right, not too dry, not too sticky. Knead everything together until your dough is smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, and turn it over so the top will be greased too. This lets the dough rise smoothly. Cover with plastic wrap, or a damp towel and let rise in a warm (not hot) place for about 1 1/2 hrs or until double. Punch down, form into loaves or rolls and let rise again, about an hour. Bake at 350 until brown and it sounds hollow inside when thumped, about 30 minutes. Immediately remove from pan and cool on a rack away from drafts. To make a tasty crust, I brush the hot bread with butter. Enjoy. Buy a bread machine! Put it on your Christmas list!
