    Wrong-o, my friend. …
Wrong-o, my friend. I already knew that David Gates was the writing influence behind the band, Bread. In those days however, few bands wrote their own material. The music business was different then Three Dog Night didn’t write most of their great music. Paul Williams and Hoyt Axton did, The Monkees relied on Boyce& Hart. The Carpenters relied heavily on Burt Bacharach and Hal David. As did Dionne Warwick. So, I looked it up. David Gates wrote this song…Sorry.
