Can you make french bread in a regular oven or you have to use a breadmaker?

Sheloves: God forbid you are helping people. If somebody asks is because needs help and doesnt know, not to be scolded and ridiculized… GOOD GRIEF…

Big oven definitely! OK, here is a video recipe(10 minute prep time) showing step by step how to make and bake the bread. Shape it how ever you want long, short, rolls etc.. Add onions, cheese, or something special you have in mind. At the end you must remove it to cooling racks or it will sweat on the bottom, don’t ruin your beautiful bread!!!

If you do make bread in the bread maker it is very important to remove it to cooling racks when it is done also, it will really sweat in that bread machine pan!

French bread has a nice crust on it that you can’t really get from a bread maker – you need to bake it in an oven, on a baking stone, and add steam to the oven while baking – the easiest way to do this is to fill a spray bottle with water, and spritz the inside of the oven from time to time while the bread is baking.

French bread traditionally calls for water, yeast, flour and salt as the only four ingredients. However, brushing the loaves with egg makes the crust even more crispy and shiny. In addition, placing a pan of water in the oven with the loaves while they bake improves the texture of the crust and we do not need a breadmaker.

I can’t believe you’re asking this.. You do realize that breadmakers are a convenience appliance and that bread was baked for thousands of years in regular ovens before someone developed the breadmaker.. Good grief..
