I love these videos …
I love these videos of Clara sharing such valuable lessons in cooking and nutrition. Especially for people that are poor. I am the youngest of 11 children and I can remember eating lots of pasta with tomatoe soup milk and butter. Hamburger gravy or bologna gravy poured over mashed or just boiled potatoes with peas. Corned beef hash and pork feet boils with cabbage carrots and turnip with potatoes and onions. Lots of good meals that are inexpensive for a large family. Thanks Clara
This bread looks …
This bread looks soooooo yummy…Italian style crusty bread…With the eggs mixed in with the peppers, it’s a well-balanced, protein-rich meal. I need to find some “fresh” yeast and try your bread recipe, now… Fresh yeast is hard to come by where I am, but I’m going to go looking… SEVEN loaves of bread is so much better and easier than just TWO at a time! Love you, Clara! Thanks for sharing your knowledge & wisdom with us!

I’ve gotta try this, thanks for the recipes, they may be for hard times, but what people have to learn is that nothing beats the warmness of a nice homemade meal, no matter how simple or cheap. I always eat in rather than go to a fast food place and order a faster death on a bun

True,

True,
Yes that was alot of bread. But most of the time, why would you want to warm up the oven just to make one loaf. Plus the bread probably took 2 hours to rise 1 hour before and 1 hour when it was placed in the bread pans.
I can remember my grandmother and me making bread on Saturday mornings… when I was really little (4 years old) I could not reach the flour container so I would stand on the chair … G’ma said “Oh no you don’t I said I would get if for you.”
