How do I stop a bread machine from traveling all over the counter?

My bread machine fell off of the counter last night mid-kneading cycle. Anyone have any advice to keep it from walking all over the counter? The only thing I can think of is getting one of those rubber mats for under the rugs, or hooking up some sort of harness to the wall. If anyone has any experience or ideas that could help that would be awesome.

You could try standing it on a damp towel. Or do you have an electric socket where you could put the machine on the floor? That way there’s nowhere for it to fall

My family used to put a tea-towel or cloth underneath our equivalent (a bread mixer), and then ‘wedged’ it by placing it safely on a surface where it couldn’t wander – so in a corner, with another heavy item next to it. Make sure you’re not blocking off any air vents for the machine.

Get some heavy bookends and put your bread machine between them.
