i found a rusty blade in the middle of a loaf of bread.i contacted the baking company they offered 500.00 no?
i contacted the baking co.. i told them it looked like it had been baked in the crust. i had eaten out of the bread. they are trying to say it happened after it left warehouse but they admitted they dont know how it happened. they offered me 500.00 an i said no. should i contact an attorney i asked them for 5000.00 anthey said no. do you think i can get more from this?
Mistakes happen, you weren’t injured, and they’re right — it could have gotten into the bread after it left the bakery. And even if this does go to court, you are in for a long battle before you see a dime. . .assuming that you ever do, that is.
Think about it — do you really want to spend all that time and money on lawyers, court dates, and having your life interrupted constantly? Believe me, that’s what’s going to happen if you try to sue them for more.
Edit: I’m an American. Not all of us believe in suing at the drop of a hat.

Don’t you just love the American way…..
If you weren’t hurt then just let it go. Do you really need the money that bad?
Sometimes I get the feeling that Americans have no conscience when it comes to money.

You suffered, what, the loss of a loaf of bread? And they offered you $500. Call them, apologize, and explain it was momentary greed brought on by too many lawyer advertisements. Get a replacement loaf, and have a nice day.

Any wonder that more than 60% of the world’s lawyers live in the USA.

Screw what eveyone else is saying. They were negligent. They were at fault. They should pay. People sue companies for things less serious than this and they still win. Take your chances and sue baby! SUE!!!!

Take the $500 and run. It will cost more in the long run in legal fees.
